Creating Keyword Specific Doorway
Pages A Step
By Step Guide by Shelley Lowery
If you're doing business on the Internet
then
you know the importance of
ranking high in the
Search Engines. The competition
is fierce, but
it can be done. What I am about
to reveal to
you will increase your traffic immensely,
but
it must be done correctly. The goal
is to
create powerful doorway pages that
not only
rank high in the Search Engines,
but are Search
Engine friendly and provide some
valuable
content for your visitors.
What is a doorway page anyway?
A doorway page
is a webpage specifically
designed to rank
high in the Search Engines
for a specific
keyword or keyword phrase. Not just
a blank
page with a link that redirects
to your main
page, but a powerful, content
rich page packed
with your keywords.
First of all, select three of the
most specific
keyword phrases that best
describe your
website. If your website is
about dog
grooming, then your keyword phrases
might be:
dog grooming, pet care, pet groomers.
Place
these keyword phrases, separated
with a comma,
in your KEYWORD meta tags
between the HEADING
tags of your HTML.
(Notice: Some of the opening and
closing
brackets < > have been
left off some of the
examples below to enable you
to view the
code.)
Example:
<META name="KEYWORDS" content="dog
grooming,
pet care, dog groomers">
Next, write a descriptive sentence
about your
website packed with your keywords
for your
DESCRIPTION Meta tag.
Example:

Write a descriptive TITLE for your
page that
includes your KEYWORDS.

Your doorway page should load very
quickly, so
keep your graphics to a minimum.
Make sure you
don't include any banners and place
your main
logo at the top of your page,
linked to your
main page. Place your keywords within
the
image tag using the ALT tag. Below
your logo,
include an intriguing sentence
and link it to
your main page.
Example:

In addition to placing your keywords
in your
Meta tags Title, and Image tag,

use the Comment tag. Comment
tags can be used
throughout your page to organize

and make updating easier. They also

another great way to place your
KEYWORDS. They
won't be visible on your webpage,
just in the
HTML.

The key to creating powerful, keyword
rich,
Search Engine friendly doorway pages
is to
provide some valuable content. In
the body of
your webpage, provide your visitors
with a free
250 - 300 word article or report

of sentences.

your page using one of your keywords.

If you're creating many pages, simply
add a
number to the end of your
page.

When you're ready to submit your
pages to the
Search Engines, submit only one
page each day.
If you've created several pages
you'd like to
submit, you may want to create
an additional
page that contains links to each

doorway pages. That way, you can
submit just
your links page and let the
Search Engines
crawl the rest of your links.
Creating doorway pages is a powerful
way to
increase your website traffic, but
don't stop
at just one. Imagine how much traffic
you'd
receive with 100 keyword packed,
doorway pages
all pointing to your website...

Ma Huang, The Chinese Herb used for
weight loss

As more Americans seek relief from
a variety of
ailments with herbal and alternative
remedies,
researchers have found that one
of these
treatments may cause serious health
problems.
Investigators from New England Medical
Center
in Boston discovered that people
taking
nutritional supplements containing
the herbal
remedy mahuang, a natural source
of the
stimulant ephedrine, may be at risk
for heart
attacks, sudden death and strokes.
The researchers looked at a database
containing
926 reports of problems associated
with the use
of ephedrine (Ma Huang). Fifty of
these were
heart-related,including 14 sudden
deaths, 13
strokes, two mini-strokes, nine
heartattacks
and six cases of rapid heart beats,
according
to researcher Dr. David Samenuk,
a cardiology
fellow at New England Medical Center.
He noted
that 38 subjects had no history
of heart
disease.
Awareness of the potential harm of
these
substances ``is critical to uninformed
public,'' he said, adding that sudden
death can
occur after taking this substance,
even if a
person doesn't have heart disease.
The
researchers reported their findings
at the
annual meeting of the American College
of
Cardiology.
Ma huang has been used for 500 years
in Chinese
herbal remedies to treat asthma.
In this
country, it is used largely for
weight loss,
energy enhancement and body building.
In the study, 27 people had used
the supplement
for weight loss, and 15 had used
it to boost
their energy. Women were more likely
to suffer
serious consequences after taking
Ma Huang,
according to the researchers. Almost
half of
the subjects in this study were
women.
This may be because women use herbal
remedies
more often than men, particularly
for weight
loss, according to researcher Robert
Contreras,
a third-year medical student at
Tufts
University in Boston, which is affiliated
with
New England Medical Center. However,Samenuk
noted, these findings apply only
to the women
in the study, and that further research
will
determine if all women are more
susceptible to
heart-related complications from
taking ma
huang.
Last year, the federal Food and Drug
Administration issued a warning
about the
dangers of taking supplements containing
ephedrine. The researchers used
the FDA's
database, known as the Adverse Reaction
Monitoring System,to conduct the
study.
My comments on this report: I suggest
that you
not use supplements containing MaHuang,
also
known as ephedra. I have seen it
cause racing
of the heart and others feeling
very shaky from
this. It is quite an adrenal stimulant
and can
exhaust the adrenals, leading to
Health
problems and exhaustion in the long
run. I have
read of people dying from taking
MaHuang in
their herbal weight loss program.
As a certified acupuncturist, I am
also aware
of it's use in Chinese traditional
medicine.
Let's leave it there, where those
suggesting it
know what they are doing and monitor
it's use.
Just picking it up at a booth or
store in a
combination remedy, or by itself,
and using it
because someone said it would give
you energy
and help you loose weight can be
a very
dangerous choice. Beware!
